ABOUT MICHELLE

Michelle is passionate about collaboration, facilitating the alignment of government, industry, researchers, communities,  and the community sector, to deliver great outcomes for individuals and communities.  Michelle brings executive leadership and board experience from a range of industries to her work, with skills in financial and people management, stakeholder engagement, community and regional development drawing on her strong track record of leading teams.

Her extensive experience in developing and executing strategy, designing projects and obtaining grants and tenders for delivery, leading successful cross sector partnerships, and advocacy campaigns have led to improved public policy, programs and new funding. It is this experience that enables Michelle to advise clients on how best to shape their work for maximum impact. Michelle's career includes:

- Executive Director Regional Investment, Department of Regional Development

- Manager Regional Community Relations,  Rio Tinto Iron Ore

- Executive Manager Infrastructure, WA Local Government Association (WALGA)

- Manager Community and Cultural Development, Town of Port Hedland

Michelle has a Master of Arts in Public Policy and a Bachelor of Music/Arts (hons) and a Certificate of Engagement from the International Association for Public Participation. She is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management, member of Economic Development Australia, an alumnus of the Leadership WA program and graduated with an Order of Merit from the Australian Institute of Company Directors’ course.

Michelle is a Board Member of the East Kimberley Chamber of Commerce and Regional Development Australia Kimberley.
